Combining inventory from multiple locations, such as Trendsi and your own stock, can be a powerful way to streamline your business operations. Shopify allows you to sell a single product from different inventory locations seamlessly, which is useful if you purchase samples ahead of time, but still want to sell the sample on-hand with the Trendsi dropship inventory.
Here’s how you can combine inventory from Trendsi and your own inventory in your Shopify store:
Step 1: Add Your Own Warehouse Location in Shopify
You may skip this step if you already have your own warehouse location set up in Shopify.
Go to Shopify Admin -> Settings -> Locations -> select Add Location

Create a personal location
- Location name: We recommend an identifiable name like "Home" or "Main Warehouse"
- The address and phone number should be your personal or business
Save your location
- Save your location
Step 2: Add Trendsi US Location in Shopify
You may skip this step if have previously set up a Trendsi US location in Shopify for TikTok Shop.
Go to Shopify Admin -> Settings -> Locations -> select Add Location

Please enter the following information exactly as shown below:
- Location name: Trendsi US Location
- Address: 17300 Railroad St, Unit D, City of Industry, CA 91748
- Phone: (626) 640-9865
- Save your changes
Step 3: Update Location Settings in Your Trendsi Account
Ensure your Shopify store is connected to your Trendsi account before this step.

- Go to Account -> Settings -> Connected Stores -> Select your Shopify store

Toggle on Enable Multi-Location for Trendsi Products
- Once this is enabled, you will see two dropdowns - Trendsi Overseas Location and Trendsi US Location
- Once this is enabled, you will see two dropdowns - Trendsi Overseas Location and Trendsi US Location

Trendsi Overseas Location: Don't make changes to this location. Most sellers have their default location as Trendsi App Location. If you have changed your default Trendsi location in the past to your own warehouse, it's okay to keep it that way. If you are not sure, please reach out to our customer support team.

Trendsi US Location: Click dropdown to find the Trendsi US Location you just added to your Shopify store in Step 2.

Step 4: Sync and Manage Your Combined Inventory
Now that you have both locations set up, you can manage and sell the same product listing from both Trendsi and your own inventory.
To add your own on-hand inventory with a Trendsi dropship inventory:
- From Shopify admin, go to the Product -> Add Variant
- Select the variant you have on-hand to add
- Inventory -> Select dropdown and choose multiple locations
- You have to Save before proceeding
- Click Edit Location
- Select your warehouse and add quantity you have on hand for this variant and save
- Repeat these steps for each additional variant you may have on hand
Step 5: Set Up Fulfillment Location Priority
When you have inventory of the same product in multiple locations, you can tell Shopify which one you would like to fulfill from first.
To always sell your on-hand inventory first before Trendsi dropship, you must set up Order Routing:
- Go to Shopify admin -> Settings -> Shipping and delivery
- In Order routing section, click Manage
- Click Add rule
- Click Use ranked locations
- Click ⠿ and drag to move the rule to the top of the list
- On the rule, click the ✎ pencil icon to open the configuration modal for the rule
- Add a Priority Location and Secondary Location Group
- Then drag warehouse locations to the topmost location group. Leave any locations that shouldn't be prioritized in the bottom location group.
- Click Done and Save
You should end up with something like this:
Please note: Any products that are fulfilled from your own inventory location will not be synced over to Trendsi, even if it's the same product. You will be able to see the details in your Shopify store. |
