Add Products to Shopify

As a Shopify seller, you have the ability to choose which products to add to your store and set your own pricing.

 

Before you add products, please note:

  1. You can add products one-by-one or add multiple products to a Trendsi collection and then add entire collections to Shopify at once. 
  2. Products can only be added to a manual Shopify collection. If you only have automated collections in your store, simply create a manual collection just for the purpose of adding products. 
  3. Trendsi collections are not the same as your Shopify collections, they are meant to be used as an organization tool or to add products in bulk to your Shopify store.

Maximum Import Limit: Shopify has a limitation of importing a maximum of 1000 SKUs per 24 hours. If you have other dropshipping apps that you import products from, it will also count towards this limitation because it is set by Shopify.

If you get a maximum limit error message, please wait 24 hours before trying again.

Keep in mind...

SKU = Stock Keeping Unit: If a product has 2 different color variations and is available in sizes S - 2XL, that means the product contains a total of 10 SKUs.

 

Adding a Single Product to Shopify:

  1. Hover over a product on a category page or open a product to find the Add button
  2. Click Add --> Add to Shopify
  3. Select manual Shopify collection (see above for info on collections)
  4. Set Status - Active or Draft
  5. Set Product Type (optional)
  6. Add Tags (optional)
  7. Change Selling Price (if needed or set Price Rules)
  8.  Click Add to Shopify (you can exit the screen while it's adding)

  • Added products will have a Shopify icon on the upper right corner
  • Once a product is added to your Shopify store, it can no longer be added again
  • If you are trying to add the same product to different or multiple Shopify collections, it will need to be done on your Shopify admin side.
  • To see all your added products, go to Account --> Added Products

 

 

Adding Multiple Products to Shopify:

  1. Hover over a product on a category page or open a product to find the Add button
  2. Click Add --> Add to Collection
  3. Select a Trendsi Collection for the products to go into
  4. Continue adding as many products into a collection as desired
  5. Alternatively, you can add all 40 products on a product page to a Trendsi collection at once

  1. Once you are done adding products to a Trendsi collection, go to My Account --> Collections
  2. Hover over the Trendsi Collection that you want to add to Shopify
  3. Click Add --> Add to Shopify
  4. Now all of the products in the Trendsi Collection will be added to Shopify at once
